Chebon A. Porter, PhD received his doctoral
degree in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University and completed internship/residency at the University of Alabama,
Birmingham School of Medicine (UAB). He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the UAB Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Neurobiology. He is now the attending clinical psychologist for the Blind Rehabilitation Center at the VA Medical Center.
Academic appointments include adjunct assistant professor at UAB School of Medicine in the Department of Psychology and the
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology. Dr. Porter specializes in adjustment to physical and psychological
trauma. He also treats mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders.
